Subdomains allow you to access different directories by using a domain name which you do not have to register.
For example, if you want to access forums on your site, you can create forums.domain.com and link it to the directory that your forums are in. Any current subdomains will be listed under Current Sub-Domains. If you are using free hosting package you are allowed to use 1 subdomain for Free hosting, 10 subdomains for Pro hosting and 10 subdomains for Biz hosting.
